Simply run the installation executable (linked above). This version can be installed over an existing installation of Avast (4.x/5.x/6.x). Also, if you're already using the previous assembly Avast 6, you can use the built-in update program.

What's new in Avast 6
Major changes / improvements:
- AutoSandbox - suspect the program will be further work in isolation
- Avast! WebRep - browser plug-in for the site rating reputation, a combination of data from our laboratory, the virus and the community vote
- Scenario Shield now even free AV
- Blocking the site is now even free AV
- SafeZone - special virtual field for sensitive operations (for example, security of online banking) (paid only products)
- Recovery Team to factory settings (Settings - Troubleshooting)
- Automatic actions in the boot scan
- A new method of compression in the installer makes the installation of approximately 20% less.
- Scenario Shield now functional even with IE8/IE9 protected mode
- Sidebar Gadget
- Improved stability and compatibility of the behavior of the shield
- Improvements to the Avast! sandbox

What's new in this beta version of 986
almost all the bugs from the previous beta version should be solved now, with the following exceptions:
- Firewall: Utorrent conflict is not yet fully resolved
- Firewall: a package of rules for the application still does not support the sale and AUTO-SOLVE steps properly.
- Wrong context menu processing in SafeZone
- Other minor visual issues in SafeZone
